Tumor growth dynamics
My research focuses on the mathematical modeling of tumor growth at the cellular scale. In particular, my work so far has focused on modeling glioma growth.
The gif on the left shows that the human brain consists of white matter and gray matter, generated using the BrainWeb Atlas (McGill).

Cell state transitions
Understanding cell state transitions is a longstanding challenge in biology. My research interest is in mathematical modeling of these transitions in connection with cell fate decisions.
The gif on the left shows a cell (red ball) initially at an unstable state (hill). It eventually ends up in one of the stable states (valleys), which are influenced by biological fluctuations (noise).
